Departure from Paris or Tours (in the heart of the Loire Valley)
in the morning.
The first day is dedicated to Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé wines.
With the company of an expert, you visit the vineyard and taste some Sancerre of the Domain de la Poussie.
Lunch is at your convenience in Sancerre.
In the early afternoon, you get a taste of the famous Chavignol goat cheese.
We spend the rest of the afternoon visiting the winery of the Chateau du Nozet, the best Pouilly Fumé in the world, which, of course, you get to try (Pouilly de la Doucette and Baron de L.) This visit is exclusive to Val de Loire Prestige.
A 3* hotel facing the Loire River is booked for the night, and we have dinner in a restaurant nearby.
We leave Sancerre in the direction of the “Chateaux region”.
In the morning, you discover a jewel from the Renaissance, the Chateau of Chambord, listed as a world heritage by the UNESCO.
Lunch is at your convenience in Cheverny. Early afternoon, you take part in a tasting of Cheverny and Cour Cheverny wines at the Domain de Montcy.
After this tasting, I take you for a tour of the royal town of Blois.
Dinner and accommodation are at a 4* chateau hotel that was built in the 14th century, under Charles VII.
We take you to the Domain Marc Brédif, where you visit
the nicest Vouvray cellar, and taste dry, medium dry, sweet, and sparkling Vouvray.
We stop by Tours where we have lunch in a traditional French restaurant. In the afternoon, we go to Chinon, at the Domain de La Noblaie. You visit the vineyard, and try some of the finest Chinon wines, that get even finer when aged!
Dinner is served in a 4* chateau hotel (Relais et Chateaux).
You spend the night in this magnificent hotel in the heart of the Chinon vineyard.
In the morning, you can stroll around the medieval town of Chinon.
You continue your initiation to the Loire Valley wines with a tasting of Bourgueil. The Domain de la Lande welcomes us for the last tasting of red wines. Lovers of strong tannic wines will appreciate the expertise of the producer.
Lunch is at your convenience in Bourgueil.
In the afternoon, we head back towards Paris to end the trip in a 4* hotel located in the fashion district, a stone’s throw from the Louvre Museum. You have access to a swimming-pool and fitness centre where you can relax. If you are lovers of sweet wines, we can organize a tasting of Coteau du Layon wines before dinner.
Dinner in a “chic” Parisian restaurant.
